The neuroflash Chrome extension: your chat on every website

The neuroflash chat as a side panel in Chrome, on any website. It can read the page you're on, write in your Brand Voice and ask your Digital Twins, without switching tabs.

What the extension is

The extension puts the same chat you know from the neuroflash app into Chrome's side panel. It uses your neuroflash account, so your brand voices, audiences, Brand Hub knowledge and prompts are already there. What it can do is described in One chat for everything. This article covers what's specific to the browser.

â„šī¸ Chrome only for now. The extension is available for Google Chrome. There's no Firefox version at the moment.

The glow at the edge of the page A small glow sits on the right edge of every website. Click it to open the chat. Long-press and drag it to move it up or down.

💡 Tip: Is the shortcut taken by another extension? Change it at chrome://extensions/shortcuts.

Let the chat read the page

The chat can use the website you're looking at as context. Then you can ask things like "Summarize this page", "What are the three key claims here?" or "Rewrite this product description for my audience".

Page reading is off by default. You switch it on in one of two ways:

  • In the chat settings under Page context.
  • Via Enable page reading when the chat offers it.

While it's on, you'll see a This page pill in the chat. The chat reads the visible text of the page (up to about 10,000 characters), not images or hidden content.

🔒 Some pages are never read, even with page reading switched on: webmail, password managers, online banking, PayPal and internal or local addresses. The chat then shows "Can't read this page".

Send highlighted text to the chat

Highlight text on any page, right-click and choose Use highlighted text in ChatFlash. The chat opens with that text ready, so you can ask your audience about it, rewrite it or check it against your Brand Voice. This works even with page reading switched off.

Examples

  • Highlight a competitor's headline: "How does my audience react to this compared to ours: â€Ļ?"
  • Highlight a LinkedIn draft: "Rewrite this in my Brand Voice and make it shorter."
  • Highlight a paragraph in an article: "Explain this in plain words."

What's different from the web app

  • No writing into the page. The chat never types into the website. Use Copy on an answer and paste it where you need it.
  • No documents. The AI Writer and your saved documents stay in the web app. The logo at the top of the panel takes you there.
  • Not on neuroflash itself. On app.neuroflash.com the glow isn't shown, because the chat is already built in there.

Everything else works the same: web search, images, Brand Hub knowledge via +, files, prompt templates via /, voice input, model choice and Smart selection. Plan limits and credits are the same as in the app.

FAQ

Does the extension see everything I browse?

No. The chat only receives page content when page reading is on and you send a message, and never from the excluded pages listed above. Highlighted text is only sent when you choose it via right-click.

The shortcut doesn't do anything. What now?

Chrome doesn't assign a shortcut that's already in use. Open chrome://extensions/shortcuts and set one for neuroflash.

Can I move the glow at the edge of the page?

Yes. Long-press it and drag it up or down. It remembers the position.

Is there a version for Firefox or other browsers?

Not at the moment. The extension is built and tested for Google Chrome.
